Have you ever wondered…
If I’m the pilot that navigates my life, what are the tools or instruments that I’m suppose to use to know when I’m out of alignment with my flight path?
If so, the answer is… Turbulence!!!
Yep! The bumpy ride of your emotional feedback-system feeding you feelings of overwhelm, anxiety, fear, or urgency, are your internal indicators letting you know that you have lost your way or are getting caught up in time.
In fact, anytime something feels urgent, (outside of a real-world emergency) or like you can’t seem to make it happen fast enough, you know it’s time to back-up so that you can gain a better grasp on the situation.
So, how do we regain control of a situation when we hit turbulence?
1. BREATHE… and remember nothing is THAT serious…. really!
2. Remind yourself that you are creating the story you’re experiencing.,, and you can handle ANYTHING you create.
3. Look for a better thought about the situation that will make you feel more soothed and in control.
4. Keep increasing the quality of your thoughts about the situation until you can feel good about it.
