Sometimes It’s Good to Stand Alone

SOMETIMES IT’S GOOD TO STAND ALONE

While it’s great to have a support system in place when times get rough, leaning on that support system a little too much can stunt your personal growth.

You see, every situation you encounter is one of your own making, as you’ve attracted it to yourself by way of your thoughts, values, and beliefs. This is why you will never get a bigger challenge than you can personally handle… because your mind CAN’T CONCEIVE of it’s possibility.

Accordingly, you are more than capable of facing any situation that comes up in your life, without any outside advice or opinions. And the way you learn to navigate your way through these challenges on your own, is by practicing accessing your inner wisdom for guidance.

EXERCISE FOR ACCESSING INNER WISDOM :: Just for a moment, think of a situation you’re facing that feels a little “sticky,” or like the kind of thing you’d normally go to others for advice on. Now, as you contemplate the situation, ask yourself… “If I knew what to do here or what I was suppose to be learning from this situation, what would that be?”

Allow yourself a few moments to sit in silence as you observe the ideas that start to show up in your thought stream. Notice which ideas feel appealing, and those that seem to just pass through. As you allow for more and more ideas, you’ll begin to see a pattern of them that feel good to you.

Once you’ve identified the pattern, write down those ideas, as they are the beginning steps you need to take to get yourself where you want to be, with regard to this experience.
