With FREEDOM Comes RESPONSIBILITY
Lately, I’ve been hearing much talk about people wanting more freedom. More free time to do as they choose, more financial freedom to buy the things they want, and even more freedom to focus their thoughts on the types of ideas they want to bring into fruition. When I ask them about what they’re doing to achieve these experiences, they often respond with something like “Well, I have no control over __________ (fill in the blank)”. Then, through a series of ‘why’ questions, we can often break down their lack of freedom to one simple point… they don’t believe that they have the power to take responsibility for making the necessary choices, and taking the subsequent actions to create those experiences for themselves.
In order to have the freedom of more time, you must first create a life in your mind that affords that time to you. You do this by taking more responsibility for how you currently spend your time, maneuvering various things around in your schedule until you get your days to be exactly as you wish they were. The same is true with money, many people feel they are limited to whatever their current job or the economy allots them, never allowing themselves to consider any other means by which they could receive more money. When they begin to consider that there are other options available to them out there, they start to come in contact with more opportunities to explore increasing their financial potential. If focused on long enough, with positive intention and energy, these considerations lead them to the perfect opportunity to have more money.
In each instance, in order to create an experience for yourself, one that allows you to express your ‘freedom’, you must first take responsibility in the mind for who and what you need to be, in order to bring that experience into your reality.
